The easiest way to keep your sliced apples from turning brown is to keep them in a bowl of water. If you are placing your apples on a serving dish, you can brush them with water that has a small amount of lemon juice added to it.
To utilize other fruit to hasten the ripening Avos is useful. However here is an alternative. At the rear of any household refrigerator is a black "like grill". At the top of same are a number of inverted "U" shaped pipes. An Avo, stem-side down will nestle there perfectly. The wormth given off from the "radiator" will be sufficient and not too hot to damage the fruit. This is the same temperature as would be found in the natural production area of same. The ripenning time will be between 4 to 5 days.
