January 17, 2003, Newsletter Issue #67: Freezing Bananas

Tip of the Week

Freeze bananas whole, in the skins. The skin will turn black, but the fruit is easily squeezed out by snipping the end. It will be so liquid after thawing that no mashing is necessary for addition to recipes.
